As you'll hear in this message I'm not one to go to malls or much for going to the city but as is the case from time to time the trip must happen.  If we want to see clear example of how distracted we can get with the world and materialistic things, take a trip to the city and go to the mall.  To sum up this sermon when we look around it's obvious that not only are most people not ready for Jesus but He's coming soon by the looks of this nation and the world.  People need to start waking up from their self-absorbed slumbers and get ready.  People think that because they profess to be a Christian, they're ready, not always the case as it's laid out in scripture.  Some people think that because the are a "member" of a church or attend church that they're ready, not always the case.  Five of the seven churches in Revelation Jesus has a charge against and He warns that if they don't repent judgment will come.  Just because a group of people call themselves a church doesn't mean they're a church of Jesus; are they following the scriptures, specifically the book of Acts that outlines the organization, structure, and purpose of the TRUE church?  When a congregation breaks away from that Jesus has a charge as we see in Revelation, most "churches" today lack leadership, true biblical leadership which are elders.  A congregation must have elders yet most don't for one reason or another, most Christians have no idea what a biblical evangelist is and the function of an evangelist.  A true evangelist that God has given the gift of an evangelist to as stated in Ephesians 4 holds a leadership position within the body of Christ.  Evangelists were given the task of appointing elders (see 1 Timothy ch. 3 and 5; Titus ch.1) but if a God appointed evangelist came into most denominations or non-denominations and invoked this authority to appoint elders they'd be run out.  "This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand" Matt 13:13.  People are reading the bible, people are hearing what it says yet they either don't understand or refuse to follow it and instead follow their own practices.  It's time for people to wake up and become obedient to the Word of God, the Sword of the Spirit or else they will suffer judgment.  Be sober minded, be looking up and awaiting the appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It's been awhile since I've posted, since my last post I've taken a trip and a couple different winter and spring bugs swept through our house.  Thankfully summer is almost here which means more sunshine(vitamin D) and a greater immune system.  I'm looking to add a new link to the webpage posting news stories and giving a commentary on those stories especially in how they deal with prophetic timeline of scripture as well as hopefully waking people up to the pitiful shape the Republic is in.  Life can be busy on the farm so I'm not sure how often I'll be able to do it, but that's my plan for now and of course continuing to post sermons whenever I speak to a congregation.  Stay tuned and thanks for the continued support.
